Plan your transport

Check whether there is a loading zone in front of the building, at what times pedestrian zones are open to delivery traffic and whether vehicle size or weight is restricted. Longer carrying routes across pavements, cobbles or courtyards increase staff and time requirements. Where there is no stopping place, a parking suspension can be requested from the relevant authority; clarify early who will do this, as processing needs lead time.

Vehicle size to suit the street

In narrow old-town lanes, rear courtyards or underground car parks, vehicle size determines whether you can get close enough at all. Give us clearance heights, widths and weight restrictions. We then choose a vehicle that suits both the shipment and the access.

Delivering early in the morning

Many pedestrian zones allow delivery traffic only early in the morning. Delivering in this window is often the calmest solution but requires someone on site to open up and accept. Clarify this with your team or the recipient before we fix the date.
