Plan your transport
Clarify whether reception only announces shipments or also accepts them, and whether that is wanted for your goods. Many buildings require advance registration with company name, vehicle registration or the name of the delivery person, sometimes a day ahead. State the floor and room and whether an employee will collect from reception and accompany the route. Delivery or visitor passes should be ready on the day; deliveries often use a separate service entrance.
Service entrance, loading yard and lift
Larger office buildings usually have their own delivery area with loading yard and goods lift, separate from the main entrance. Ask facility management about access, height limits, lift dimensions and hours of use. For heavy or large items, the goods lift is often the only option.
Security checks and passes
In some buildings, deliveries are checked or people registered. Tell us about such requirements in advance so that the time is built into the schedule. For confidential shipments, agree with security how the check can be done without opening the packaging.
