Plan your transport
An internal part number tells a transport partner neither the shape nor the number of packages. So state the number of cartons or boxes, external dimensions, weight and which versions go to which recipient. Your specialist department decides how the modules are protected against electrostatic discharge and packed; we take over the shipment in that state. Keep one current packing list as the reference – diverging lists can cause questions at goods-in.
Getting pre-series samples to the customer on time
With pre-series samples, an approval or test date often depends on delivery. Tell us the appointment at the recipient and the time from which the modules will be packed and ready. If the two are close together, a direct run without transhipment can be the safe choice – we show you the effort and alternatives.
Part deliveries and follow-up shipments
If modules are completed in several batches, part deliveries can be planned. Label each batch clearly so that the recipient can see what is still outstanding. A recurring route between production and customer can also be requested as a series of transports.
What matters
- Assign module versions and recipients unambiguously
- Specify ESD packaging and handling notes
- Keep one current packing list as the only reference
