Individual audio units, fully populated racks and separate loudspeakers are different shipments. Describe the actual configuration and packaging condition. The weight of a complete rack should include its installed equipment, rather than being inferred from the empty enclosure weight listed in a catalogue.

Record which units will remain in the rack and which will be packed separately. Cable cases and accessories should appear as separate packages in the inventory. Wheels on a case do not establish that the entire access route is suitable: thresholds, stairs and changes of floor surface need to be known at both ends. Also establish who will prepare the equipment before handover.

Is “one rack” enough information for an enquiry?

No. Include external dimensions, total weight, installed equipment and packaging condition. An empty enclosure and a fully equipped rack are different shipments. Actual information provides the basis for a useful review of the transport project.

For a product launch the date is fixed, and usually so is the time when guests arrive. The transport therefore has to fit into the event schedule: delivery before set-up, a calm handover and, where needed, collection straight after the event ends.

When a shipment consists of many packages, the packing list becomes the most important planning document. It shows what belongs together, what is needed first and whether everything is complete at handover. Without numbering, even simple queries quickly become confusing.

Request transports outside normal business hours

Some handovers only fit into off-peak times: a shop must not be disturbed during the day, a building is only quiet in the evening or a set-up has to take place at the weekend. Such times can be requested, but they need particular preparation at both locations.
