Move designer furniture between businesses and presentation spaces

For a valuable piece of furniture, shape and surface matter as much as size. Describe the item in its expected collection condition. List removable parts as separate packages only when their appropriate preparation has actually been arranged with the responsible person.

Plan your transport

A long tabletop, deep chair and assembled cabinet require different access information. Check the complete route between the prepared item and the handover point, including doors, turns and lifts. Describe existing protective packaging and show vulnerable edges in photographs. A product name alone is insufficient because custom versions can differ in dimensions and materials from the catalogue example used for reference.

What matters

Describe the actual version rather than a catalogue example
Identify narrow points along the access route
Clearly match prepared parts to their furniture item

Good to know

Plan your transport

Should I dismantle furniture before transport?

A responsible specialist should decide this for the particular piece. Agree the condition in which it will be handed over. Dismantling and later assembly must not be silently assumed to form part of the transport service.

Transport solutions

Plan a showroom move with valuable display pieces

A showroom move combines two challenges: display pieces are often in use without packaging, and the new space must be ready for presentation by a fixed date. A good request therefore describes the inventory, the sequence and the schedule for clearing and furnishing.

Clarify kerbside handover or delivery to the final position

Whether a shipment is handed over at the vehicle, on the ground floor or directly at its final position makes a big difference to staffing, time and planning. The desired handover point should therefore be stated precisely in the request rather than settled on arrival.

Describe access at the collection and delivery address

Many delays happen not on the road but at the door. For both addresses, describe how a vehicle can approach, where it can stop and what route leads to the goods or the destination room. Small details such as thresholds or tight corners matter.
