Plan your transport

Give each package a sequential number that is easy to read on the outside, such as 1/12 to 12/12, ideally on two sides. Add contents, dimensions, weight and, where relevant, the assembly it belongs to. If an order matters at destination – for example base frame before superstructure – note it so that loading follows suit. Part deliveries must be clearly identifiable in the list so that the recipient knows when the shipment is complete.

Loading order: last in, first out

If the base frame is needed first at destination, it should be loaded last. Tell us the required unloading order and we will plan loading so that nothing has to be rearranged on arrival. This saves time and avoids unnecessary handling of delicate parts.

Confirming completeness at handover

At handover, the number of packages is checked against the list and signed for on the delivery note. If a package is missing or visibly damaged, this is noted immediately. A good list makes this step quick and unambiguous.

What matters

  • Number packages sequentially and visibly on the outside
  • Record contents, dimensions and weight per number
  • State the required unloading order at destination
