Plan your transport
For each stop, list the address, contact, time window and the packages to be loaded or delivered there. It matters whether the order is fixed or may be planned freely. For deliveries to several recipients, the load must be prepared so that only the right packages are taken off at each stop – a packing list assigned to stops and colour or number coding help considerably.
Consolidating before delivery: two collections, one delivery
If parts of a shipment come from different sites, such as a prototype and accessories from two plants, they can be collected in one run and delivered together. It is important that the packages are ready and labelled at each collection point. The shipment then arrives complete without the recipient having to coordinate two deliveries.
Multi-stop tour or separate direct runs
A tour with several stops is usually more economical than individual runs, but each stop lengthens the journey for the following recipients. If one destination is particularly time-critical, a separate direct run for that part can make sense. We show you the options with their timings.
What matters
- Describe each stop with time window and contact
- Assign packages to stops unambiguously
- State whether the order is fixed or free
