Plan your transport

Describe the instrument as a prepared transport unit: type, external dimensions, weight and condition at collection. Whether samples, reagents, operating fluids or gases must be removed is decided by the lab manager – state explicitly in the request what remains in the device. Removable rotors, inserts and accessories belong on the packing list as separate items. At destination it should be clear who accepts the instrument and who then sets it up.

Laboratory moves with several instruments

For a lab move, an equipment list with room, weight and the preferred order at destination is worth preparing. Critical instruments often need to arrive first so that operations restart quickly. We plan collection and delivery according to this priority and state in the quotation how far each instrument is brought.

Temperature and vibration

Some instruments have manufacturer requirements for storage temperature or transport orientation. Give these requirements with their source so that we can check which vehicle and process option fits. Anything not explicitly agreed is not silently assumed.

What matters

  • Have the lab manager confirm the prepared and released state
  • List rotors, inserts and accessories as separate items
  • Plan acceptance and later set-up separately
