Plan your transport

Describe whether a fully assembled object, individual luminaire bodies or a sample set is travelling, and which glass parts, shades or cables are already packed separately and clearly assigned. Long arms and protruding parts can take up more space than the luminaire body itself – give the external dimensions of the packaging. The manufacturer or a specialist decides which parts are separated before collection. If several similar variants are sent for sampling, the recipient needs a clear assignment of the parcels.

Sampling for lighting designers and architects

In sampling, several variants often go to a design office and some come back. Number each variant, include an overview with product names and plan the collection of the samples not chosen at the same time. That way everyone keeps track.

Large-format light objects

Expansive light objects for lobbies or stairwells usually consist of many individual parts. A numbered packing list with an assembly plan helps ensure nothing is missing at destination. Installation is usually done by the manufacturer or an electrical contractor; we align the delivery date with their work.

What matters

  • Include protruding parts in the external dimensions
  • Assign glass and shades clearly to the luminaire body
  • Confirm the assembly state before collection
