Plan your transport
Describe how long the goods stay at destination and whether they will be unpacked, used or changed there. Make sure the original packaging is stored safely on site or kept elsewhere in the meantime – without it, the return becomes difficult. Before the return, check completeness against the same packing list as on the way out and compare the condition with the photos taken at the start. If the destination changes for the return, tell us early.
Why planning both legs reduces cost and risk
Planning outbound and return together avoids double coordination, uses the same packaging and keeps the same contacts for both runs. If the goods stay at destination for longer, the return can be combined with another run if it is known early enough. This often makes the return cheaper than a spontaneous single request.
Returns with changes
Not everything always comes back: samples stay with the customer, accessories are swapped, one part goes elsewhere. Record such changes in an updated packing list and share it before collection. The return plan then matches the actual shipment exactly.
