Plan your transport

Describe the model as a whole: dimensions including plinth and cover, weight, delicate surfaces such as paint or clear parts, and removable attachments. Several photos from different angles help with unusual shapes. Name the person who built the model and can answer handling questions. If the model is assembled on site, the recipient needs a numbered list of parts. Also clarify whether the transport crate stays on site after unpacking or should be taken away immediately.

Presenting at a hotel, showroom or client site

Each venue has its own rules: hotels often accept deliveries only at fixed times via the service entrance, and clients have gatehouses with registration. Ask the venue about delivery times, access and a contact person. With these details we plan a delivery that does not clash with other trades setting up.

Return transport after the event

After the presentation, the model often goes back to the studio or on to the next appointment. Plan the collection at the same time so that the model does not stand unattended on site overnight. We can combine the outbound and return legs, or an onward run to the next venue, in one quotation.

What matters

  • Include plinth, cover and attachments in dimensions and packing list
  • Name the model maker or set-up lead as contact
  • Plan acceptance before set-up, not before the presentation starts
